Young Runners Willing To Go The Extra Mile

Fleet Feet Sports Fox Valley has supported the Distance Demons, a club of 3rd thru 8th-grade distance runners in the Northeast Wisconsin area, since 2010.

Lead by the passionate Coach Jay Harris, this group of dynamos is always looking for additional teammates.

Team Notables:

Race success stacked upon race success, the Distance Demons took the 2012 Fox Cities Marathon Relay podium once again. This year a faster pace than last was good enough for an amazing 2nd place overall out of 123 marathon relay teams with a time of 2:57:20. The relay team consisted of Drew Dahlin (captain), Max Schmitz, Ryan Thieme, Nick Petersen and Kyle Thieme (member of the 2011 Relay Team).

This team of dynamos produced the winning Relay Team for the 2011 Fox Cities Marathon on Sunday, September 18, 2011. Said one of the members of the second place relay team, "they were great competitors but also very polite and friendly, which was even more impressive." Congrats to Bailey, Brandon, Chloe, Evan, Kyle and Coach Jay!

Congratulations to the Distance Demons for a fantastic showing at the 2010 Junior Olympics in Alabama!! Here's to a successful 2010 and what's to come in 2011!
